Šiandien esu Poznanėje, Lenkijoje, kur praleisiu artimiausias kelias dienas, tačiau šį sekmadienio pažinčių postą skiriu iš kito Lenkijos didmiesčio – Krokuvos – kilusiam dizaineriui FILIP ROTH. Šito jauno avangardisto darbai mane jau seniai veža. Progresyvu, aštru, konkretu, edgy. Tikra didmiesčio mada be visokių ten liuliuliu ir tiutiutiu. Žodžiu, šiandien kaimynams lenkams skirtas įrašas, tik lenkų kalbos dar nė kiek neįvaldžiau, todėl interviu su Filipu skaitysite angliškai. Hope you do not mind.

Beje, labai tikėtina, kad vieną kitą labiau nešiojimui pritaikytą Filipo Rotho rūbą jau vasarą bus galima įsigyti ir Lietuvoje, šiuo metu kuriamoje www.bomberis.com e-parduotuvėje. Nes visai panosėje, vos už kelių šimtų kilometrų, gyvena ir kuria žiauriai talentingi šiuolaikinės mados dizaineriai. Į juos, o ne kažkur toli esančius ir jau pasauliniu mastu žinomus, ir ketinu koncentruotis kuruodamas e-parduotuvės asortimentą. Ir kol jie mažai žinomi, savo be galo konceptualius kūrinius parduoda labai geromis kainomis. Į Ann Demeleumeester ar Ricko Owenso rūbus man gražu pažiūrėti, bet kai suvokiu, kad kelnės kainuoja kaip atostogos Italijoje, ramiai, be jokio apmaudo dairausi alternatyvų. Ir jų tikrai yra. Netrukus įsitikinsite ir jūs.

Taigi, pažindinkitės – lenkas Filipas Rothas (savo veidą jis atkakliai slepia, bet Facebooke galima rasti vieną kitą nuotrauką, tad jeigu labai smalsu – pirmyn)!

BOMBERIS: What do you think are the main factors that influence today’s urban fashion? How does life in the big city shape what people choose to wear?

FILIP ROTH: The neighbourhood has always had a huge impact on who you are and what you wear. Once you make a step forward and discover different paths, you can develop your style. Today’s cities are often becoming concrete jungles, and people feel like nomads there.

BOMBERIS: For how many years you have been in the market, and what are your ambitions for the future, including international presence?

FILIP ROTH: I started to work as an independent brand in 2010 and from the very beginning did not want to be a big label. Each year I learn and discover more, which helps me to create better products. Since then I consistently reach people around the world who appreciate my work and want to wear my designs. For me this is a huge success already. It gives a lot of satisfaction when you ship your products to almost all continents, and thanks to that I am on a good way on international presence.

BOMBERIS: Describe your fashion – whom your designs are meant for?

FILIP ROTH: Form, structure, colour – none of these should impose on us their consciousness. Filip Roth projects are the materialized vision of people relentlessly looking for their own self, without the aspiration to determine them.

BOMBERIS: Your color scale is achromatic, and your style is very minimalist. Is there an explanation for this sort of aesthetics?

FILIP ROTH: Originality in simplicity, but above all I treat fashion as the space for interdisciplinary action, the quest after connections between different emanations of creativity.

BOMBERIS: What/who inspires you in your work?

FILIP ROTH: This is always the most awkward question to me. The smallest thing in your life could be an inspiration in the back of your head and even the most spectacular moments can be superficial. That is why it is so hard to describe and even hard to feel. Sometimes it just happens.

BOMBERIS: Thank you. I appreciate what you are doing a lot.
